Privacy Policy
The privacy of your data — and it is your data, not ours! — is a big deal to us. In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.
This policy applies to all products built and maintained by ImageToVideos.ai.
What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here's what that means in practice.
Identity & access
When you sign up for an ImageToVideos.ai product, we typically ask for identifying information such as your name, email address, and maybe a company name. That's just so you can personalize your new account, and we can send you invoices, updates, or other essential information. We'll never sell your personal info to third parties, and we won't use your name or company in marketing statements without your permission either.
Geolocation data
We log all access to all accounts by full IP address so that we can always verify no unauthorized access has happened. We keep this login data for as long as your product account is active.
We also log full IP addresses used to sign up a product account. We keep this record forever because they are used to mitigate spammy signups.
Web analytics data — described further in the Website Interactions section — are also tied temporarily to IP addresses to assist with troubleshooting cases.
Website interactions
When you browse our marketing pages or applications, your browser automatically shares certain information such as which operating system and browser version you are using. We track that information, along with the pages you are visiting, page load timing, and which website referred you for statistical purposes like conversion rates and to test new designs. We sometimes track specific link clicks to help inform some design decisions. These web analytics data are tied to your IP address and user account if applicable and you are signed into our Services.
Cookies and Do Not Track
We do use persistent first-party cookies to store certain preferences, make it easier for you to use our applications, and support some in-house analytics. A cookie is a piece of text stored by your browser to help it remember your login information, site preferences, and more. You can adjust cookie retention settings in your own browser. To learn more about cookies, including how to view which cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, please visit: www.allaboutcookies.org.
At this time, our sites and applications do not respond to Do Not Track beacons sent by browser plugins.
Voluntary correspondence
When you write to ImageToVideos.ai with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including the email address, so that we have a history of past correspondences to reference if you reach out in the future.
We also store any information you volunteer like surveys. Sometimes when we do customer interviews, we may ask for your permission to record the conversation for future reference or use. We only do so if you give your express consent.
Information we do not collect
We don't collect any characteristics of protected classifications including age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or physical and mental abilities or disabilities. You may provide these data voluntarily, such as if you include a pronoun preference in your email signature when writing into our Support team.
Face Data and Biometric Information
What we collect. When you upload photos or videos to use face-related features, we process those files to detect and align faces. During processing, we may generate short‑lived face detection metadata (for example, bounding boxes and landmarks) and non‑reversible numerical feature representations ("face embeddings") derived from the pixels. We do not collect or store government‑issued identifiers, nor do we create or store facial geometry templates intended to uniquely identify you across services.
How we use it. We use face data solely to provide and improve features you request, such as image‑to‑video generation, face enhancement, reenactment, style transfer, and safety checks (for example, preventing abuse and removing harmful content). We do not use face data for advertising or for user profiling unrelated to the requested feature. We will only use content to improve models if you have provided an explicit, revocable opt‑in.
Sharing and storage. Face data and derived features may be processed by our cloud infrastructure and trusted subprocessors that provide compute, storage, and content moderation. We do not sell face data. Processing and storage occur on secure servers located in the United States and/or the European Union. Access is strictly limited to personnel and systems with a need to know and is logged.
Retention. Uploaded media are retained in your account until you delete them or your account is closed. Transient processing artifacts (including face detection metadata and embeddings) are kept only for the duration necessary to complete the task and for up to 30 days for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and to honor deletion requests; backups may persist for up to 35 additional days. If you opt‑in to contribute content for model improvement, we retain only the minimal data necessary until you withdraw consent.
Your choices. You can opt out of model improvement at any time and can request deletion of your content and associated derived data by contacting support@imagetovideos.ai. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before processing face data.
Third-Party AI Services & Data Sharing
ImageToVideos.ai uses third-party artificial intelligence (AI) services to power its core features, including image-to-video generation, face enhancement, style transfer, and related creative tools. This section explains exactly what data is shared, with whom, and how we protect your information.
What Data Is Sent to Third-Party AI Services
When you use our AI-powered features, the following categories of personal data are collected and transmitted to our third-party AI service partners:
- User-Uploaded Photos, Images, and Videos. To provide our core functionality, photos, images, or video files you upload from your device are collected and explicitly transmitted off-device to our third-party AI partners for processing (which may contain faces, likenesses, or other personal visual information).
- Text Prompts and Parameters. Any text descriptions, prompts, style preferences, or configuration settings you provide to guide the AI generation.
- Technical Metadata. Request identifiers, file format information, image/video dimensions, and other technical parameters necessary to process your request. This does not include your name, email address, or account credentials.
We do not send face detection metadata, face embeddings, account credentials (email, password), payment information, IP address, or browsing history to third-party AI providers. Face detection metadata and face embeddings are generated and processed solely on our own infrastructure and are never transmitted to any third party.
Use of the "Default" Model: If you select the "default" model within the app for video generation, your data (including photos, images, videos, and prompts) will not be shared with any third-party AI service providers. Our default model is built and hosted entirely on our own secure infrastructure.
Who Receives Your Data
We share the data described above (including your uploaded photos and videos) with the following third-party AI service partners. Your uploaded photos and images are explicitly shared with these third parties solely for the purpose of delivering the video generation features you request:
- Alibaba Cloud — Cloud AI service used for the Wan video generation model.
- Kling AI (Kuaishou Technology) — AI video generation service used for the Kling video generation model.
- Google Cloud — Cloud AI service used for the VEO3 video generation model.
- OpenAI — AI service used for the Sora 2 video generation model.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud infrastructure and AI services used for processing and storage.
We carefully vet each provider to ensure they maintain security and privacy standards that are equal to or greater than those described in this policy. Each provider is contractually bound to use your data only for the purpose of fulfilling your request and is prohibited from using your data for their own training, advertising, or any unrelated purpose unless you separately agree to their terms.
Your Consent and Control
We obtain your explicit consent before any personal data is shared with third-party AI services:
- Before First Use. When you first use an AI-powered feature, the app presents a clear consent prompt explaining that your uploaded content (images, videos, and text prompts) will be sent to third-party AI services for processing. You must affirmatively agree before any data is transmitted.
- Ongoing Control. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the in-app Privacy settings (Settings → Privacy) or by contacting support@imagetovideos.ai. Withdrawing consent means AI-powered features will no longer be available, but your existing account and non-AI features will remain unaffected.
- Per-Feature Transparency. Each AI feature clearly indicates when data will be sent to an external service before you initiate processing.
Third-Party Protections
All third-party AI service providers we work with are required to:
- Provide data protection standards equal to or greater than those described in this privacy policy.
- Process your data only for the purpose of fulfilling the specific request and not retain it beyond what is necessary to complete the task.
- Not use your data for their own model training, advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to your request, unless you separately and explicitly opt in.
- Implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA where applicable.
- Delete or return your data upon request or upon termination of our agreement with them.
When we access or share your information
Our default practice is to not access your information. The only times we'll ever access or share your info are:
To provide products or services you've requested. We use third-party services to run our Services, including the third-party AI providers listed in the "Third-Party AI Services & Data Sharing" section above. We process some or all of your personal information via these third parties only to the extent necessary to deliver the features you request, and only after obtaining your consent. You can view the list of third-party services we use: subprocessors.
To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding restricted uses. Accessing a customer's account when investigating potential abuse is a measure of last resort. We have an obligation to protect the privacy and safety of both our customers and the people reporting issues to us. We do our best to balance those responsibilities throughout the process. If we do discover you are using our products for a restricted purpose, we will report the incident to the appropriate authorities.
Your rights with respect to your information
At ImageToVideos.ai, we apply the same data rights to all customers, regardless of their location. Currently some of the most privacy-forward regulations in place are the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") in the US. ImageToVideos.ai recognizes all of the rights granted in these regulations, except as limited by applicable law. These rights include:
- Right to Know. You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared or sold. We outline both the categories and specific bits of data we collect, as well as how they are used, in this privacy policy.
- Right of Access. This includes your right to access the personal information we gather about you, and your right to obtain information about the sharing, storage, security and processing of that information.
- Right to Correction. You have the right to request correction of your personal information.
- Right to Erasure / "To be Forgotten". This is your right to request, subject to certain limitations under applicable law, that your personal information be erased from our possession and, by extension, all of our service providers. Fulfillment of some data deletion requests may prevent you from using ImageToVideos.ai services because our applications may then no longer work. In such cases, a data deletion request may result in closing your account.
- Right to Complain. You have the right to make a complaint regarding our handling of your personal information with the appropriate supervisory authority. To identify your specific authority or find out more about this right, EU individuals should go to https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/board/members_en.
- Right to Restrict Processing. This is your right to request restriction of how and why your personal information is used or processed, including opting out of sale of personal information. (Again: we never have and never will sell your personal data.)
- Right to Object. You have the right, in certain situations, to object to how or why your personal information is processed.
- Right to Portability. You have the right to receive the personal information we have about you and the right to transmit it to another party.
- Right to not be subject to Automated Decision-Making. You have the right to object and prevent any decision that could have a legal, or similarly significant, effect on you from being made solely based on automated processes. This right is limited, however, if the decision is necessary for performance of any contract between you and us, is allowed by applicable law, or is based on your explicit consent.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. We do not and will not charge you a different amount to use our products, offer you different discounts, or give you a lower level of customer service because you have exercised your data privacy rights. However, the exercise of certain rights (such as the right "to be forgotten") may, by virtue of your exercising those rights, prevent you from using our Services.
Many of these rights can be exercised by signing in and directly updating your account information.
If you have questions about exercising these rights or need assistance, please contact us at support@imagetovideos.ai. For requests to delete personal information or know what personal information has been collected, we will first verify your identity using a combination of at least two pieces of information already collected including your user email address. If an authorized agent is corresponding on your behalf, we will first need written consent with a signature from the account holder before proceeding.
ASR & NR Privacy
Protecting user privacy is paramount in the Apple ecosystem. ImageToVideos.ai follows privacy best practices, applicable laws, and the Apple Developer Program License Agreement. Below is how we address Section 5.1 requirements.
(i) Privacy Policies
Our privacy policy is linked in App Store Connect metadata and is available in-app and on the web at https://imagetovideos.ai/privacy.html. It clearly identifies: (a) what data we collect (including images, videos, and text prompts), how we collect it, and how we use it; (b) that personal data may be shared with specifically named third-party AI service providers (listed in the “Third-Party AI Services & Data Sharing” section) solely to deliver requested features, and that each provider must offer protections equal to or greater than those in this policy and as required by Apple’s guidelines; (c) our data retention and deletion practices; and (d) that user consent is obtained before any personal data is transmitted to third-party services. To revoke consent and/or request deletion of your data, use the in‑app Privacy controls (Settings → Privacy) or email support@imagetovideos.ai.
(ii) Permission
We obtain user consent before collecting user or usage data, including data initially considered anonymous. Specifically, when a user first initiates an AI-powered feature that requires transmitting data to a third-party AI service, the app presents a clear consent dialog explaining what data will be sent (uploaded images/videos, text prompts, and technical metadata), which third-party provider will receive it, and how the data will be used. The user must affirmatively agree before any data is transmitted. Paid functionality is never conditioned on granting access to personal data. Users have an accessible method within the app to withdraw consent at any time (Settings → Privacy), after which collection ceases and previously collected data is handled per our retention/deletion policy. Where we rely on legitimate interests (e.g., under GDPR), we comply with all applicable legal obligations and provide clear disclosures and opt-out or objection mechanisms.
(iii) Data Minimization
We request access only to data necessary for core functionality and collect only what is required for the relevant task. When feasible, we use out-of-process pickers or share sheets instead of requesting full access to protected resources (e.g., Photos, Contacts).
(iv) Access
We respect permission settings and do not attempt to manipulate, trick, or force consent for unnecessary data. We provide alternatives when consent is denied, where possible (e.g., manual entry when Location isn’t granted). We describe uses of data in clear purpose strings.
(v) Account Sign-In
If the app lacks significant account-based features, users can use it without creating an account. If account creation is supported, we also provide account deletion within the app. We do not require personal information except where it is directly relevant to core functionality or required by law. If our core functionality is not tied to a specific social network, access is available without social login and via alternative methods. The app includes a mechanism to revoke social credentials and disable data access to social networks. We do not store social network credentials/tokens off-device and use them only to connect during active app use.
(vi) Prohibited Practices
We do not use our apps to surreptitiously discover passwords or other private data. Violators would be removed from our developer program participation.
(vii) SafariViewController
When presenting web content, we use SafariViewController visibly and do not obscure it. We do not use SafariViewController to track users without their knowledge and consent.
(viii) Third-Party Personal Information
We do not compile personal information from sources other than the user without the user’s explicit consent, including from public databases.
(ix) Highly Regulated Services
Apps providing services in highly regulated fields (e.g., financial services, healthcare, gambling, legal cannabis, air travel) are submitted by the legal entity providing those services. Apps facilitating legal cannabis sales are geo-restricted to the appropriate jurisdictions.
(x) Optional Contact Information
We may request basic contact details (e.g., name, email) on an optional basis. Features and services are not conditional on providing these details, and we comply with all other applicable provisions, including additional limitations for children.
How we secure your data
All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. The database backups are also encrypted.
Most data are not encrypted while they live in our database (since it needs to be ready to send to you when you need it), but we go to great lengths to secure your data at rest.
Prohibited Content: Child Safety
Zero Tolerance Policy. ImageToVideos.ai has a strict zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content depicting, suggesting, or sexualizing minors. This includes but is not limited to:
- Any sexually explicit content involving minors (real or generated)
- Any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits children
- Any attempt to generate, upload, or process such content through our Service
Mandatory Reporting. We are committed to child safety and comply with all applicable laws. Any suspected CSAM or child exploitation content will be immediately reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). We will cooperate fully with all investigations.
Immediate Consequences. Violation of this policy will result in:
- Immediate and permanent account termination without warning
- No refunds for any paid services or unused credits
- Mandatory reporting to law enforcement authorities
- Preservation of all account data and evidence for law enforcement
- Potential legal action and criminal prosecution
Detection and Prevention. We employ automated systems and manual review processes to detect and prevent such content. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your uploads may be scanned for illegal content and that violations will be reported.
Changes & questions
We may update this policy as needed to comply with relevant regulations and reflect any new practices.
